Take a Train
Europe has an excellent rail network and train travel is usually comfortable and relatively
inexpensive. If you are planning on travelling to Garabandal from somewhere within Spain
or have time to travel this may be a good option for you.
Spain's railway system schedules and fares are available in Spanish at the
RENFE website. Otherwise your travel agent should be
able to help with arrangements.
Bus Service
Bus Service, in Spain, and Europe, in general, is extensive and economical. The Spanish
bus company ALSA serves the cities of Cabezon, Torrelavega, and Santander which are
very close to Garabandal. Bus schedules, fares, and even online ticketing are available
in Spanish from the ALSA web site. Your travel
agent may be able to help with reservations. Once you have arrived by bus to one of the
nearby towns you will need to take a taxi to the village of Garabandal. This can usually
be accomplished for around $35* (Cabezon) - $70* (Santander) US each way.
